The Supramonte of Urzulei
On this excursion you will enter one of the most beautiful and attractive areas of the Supramonte massif:
a totally uninhabited Karst upland plain in central western Sardinia which is more than 400 kmq (square km) vast.
The geographical and natural heart of the future National Park of Gennargentu.

Program
- Departure at 8.00a.m. in land rover from Dorgali, a stop in various panoramic points.
- Crossing of the Karst upland of "Campu Oddeu" and of the centuries-old forest of "Campos Bargios".
- Starting the excursion on foot in the locality of "Sedda Arbacas", with a stop at a typical abandoned pen.
- Then, a visit to a Thumb of Giants (a three thousand years old monument of a grave of Nuragic age).
- Proceeding up to the "Pischina Urtaddala" (a natural lake fixed between high walls), observing the Sardinian Euprotto (endemic gecko) which lives there.
- Transfer to the West side of "Gorroppu" canyon, one of the most famous in Europe.
- Lunch in a typical Supramonte goats-shepherd pen.
- Afternoon with the craftsmen of Dorgali village famous for the production of goldsmithing, leather work, ceramics ecc. Return to Hotel at 6p.m.
